About the Founder

Tara is a trusted voice and practitioner in Intentional Leadership development, facilitation, program design, and community engagement.

Leader Lean In is led by Tara Weese, Founder and President, who brings over 20 years of experience across the nonprofit, philanthropic, and community development sectors. Her leadership is the cornerstone of Leader Lean In’s Intentional Leadership operating model, which emphasizes agility, relationship-based delivery, and intentional impact.

Tara values education and believes that leaders are learners. She is a graduate of Furman University where she received her Masters of Science in Innovation and Leadership, as well as the inaugural recipient of Furman’s Innovative Leader Award. She is also a graduate of Evangel University, where she received a B.S. in Journalism with a concentration is Social Sciences and a double minor in Advertising/Public Relations and Biblical Studies. Tara also attended the Focus on the Family Leadership Institute, where she studied leadership within a Biblical worldview.

Her strong reputation, relational and social capitals, and lived experience give Leader Lean In a strategic edge in building trust-based partnerships and fostering authentic, Intentional Leadership development.
